Exposure Triangle - ISO, Aperture and Shutter Speed

1. ISO
Film speed, which is the measure of a photographic film's sensitivity to light.

Normally, I will consider using ISO 400 ~ 800 for indoor unless you have a great fast lens or you want a shallow DOF (Depth Of Field).

When I go outdoor shooting, I will use ISO 160 / 200 as  basic setting.

It is interesting that my Lumix camera off 3 custom setting for me, thus I set them for my preference:

C1: Indoor
ISO 400

C2: Outdoor
ISO 160

C3: Portrait
ISO 200

2.  Aperture
Control the amount of light reaching the film or image sensor.

3. Shutter Speed
Shutter speed or exposure time is the length of time a camera's shutter is open when taking a photograph.
ISO 800 , F2 , 1/3200sec
In the old day film photography, we hardly can use any shutter speed faster than 1/1000s , since any camera provide 1/4000s high speed is the expensive professional model. Also, the high ISO such as ISO 8000 or ISO 1600 film are more expensive and we know than after the printout, we must scarify the picture quality with little fine grains.
