All you need to do to take a good photo is what? Knowledge & practise...

Even an experienced photographer will take few shots to achieve a good photo, I had taken with this cat this afternoon about 10 photos, some may be blur since I am using manual focus.

If you want to practise your skill, you can:
1. use a manual focus lens
2. set to mode "M" as manual to adjust the aperture and shutter speed
3. set the Auto White Balance first
4. set the ISO a bit higher such as ISO 800, since it allows you take photo even indoor with higher shutter speed.
5. take a nice photo to upload on Internet every day

After as I fixed my ISO 800 and AWB, then all I need is setting the aperture, since my lens minimum is f4, I prefer close down a bit as f5.6

The lighting was pretty soft under the shadow of a shop this afternoon, then I talk to the cat on the street. Yes, you need to communicate any model no matter human or animals, especially the birds, when I walk by they know, if I using the camera to shoot them, they also know and fly away.

This is another cat, she is approaching me with curiosity, and I say hi, then let her smell my fingers. If they smell your fingers, then they will calm down and let you take the pictures.

Do some record for your aperture since when you take the photo with manual focus, the exif data will lost as all are f1.0

All other data can be seen when you browse your photo. My camera today is Sony NEX3, the Rollei 80-200mm f4 lens.

Yes, it is heavy but I love this lens, really outstanding. The camera has adjustable LCD, thus I can take a low shot.
I use another hand holding my Samsung digital camera which I brought long time ago, still a good camera as 6Mil but I always set to each photo for 1Mil to save hard disk space.
